Core Beliefs are a Big Deal

Core beliefs play a fundamental role in shaping our identities, attitudes, and behaviors. They act as the foundation upon which we build our relationships and make decisions. Whether consciously or unconsciously, these deep-seated principles influence every aspect of our lives, from our relationships to our personal value system. In this podcast, we will explore the importance of core beliefs and why understanding and challenging them can be transformative.

If you don’t choose your core beliefs with intention, others and circumstances will write them for you. It’s a choice of incredible magnitude to take authority over your heart beliefs, involve God, and align yourself with His very best.

Core beliefs provide a sense of self and define who we are as individuals. They reflect our values, ideologies, and overarching principles. By clarifying our core beliefs, we gain a better understanding of ourselves, which can lead to increased self-confidence and a stronger sense of purpose. Furthermore, aligning our actions and decisions with our core beliefs enhances our authenticity and enables us to live a more fulfilling life. Like a treasure hunt, you can take the journey of discovery to uncover the richness of who you are. All of God’s creation is good and rich in beauty, and you are a part of that. You’re not a mistake. Eliminating the lies and living out the truth of your identity is a great adventure.

Who or what we tend to blame is a big “revealer” when it comes to core beliefs. The more your identity, dignity, and self-worth are in place, the more you will be able to manage to be responsible for yourself and no longer need to blame others.

Whom / What do you tend to blame?

  1. People in my life

Empowering Belief Suggestion: The people in my life are not my problem or my answer. They are not my source in any area. It is not my responsibility to change them or fix them. I celebrate and see the best in everyone!

  2. Current circumstances

Empowering Belief Suggestion: I am not restricted by the state of the world or my current living conditions. I have the freedom to think, meditate, and develop my friendship with God in any circumstance, and it will cause me to prosper!

  3. Money/job issues

Empowering Belief Suggestion: I partner with God and bring action to the ideas He gives me. I am not limited in finances, but easily find creative ways to create and maintain wealth.

  4. My past decisions

Empowering Belief Suggestion: I forgive myself for mistakes and foolish choices. Jesus loved me on my worst day and rescued me. I am so thankful that He forgives me and redeems me.

  5. My family origin

Empowering Belief Suggestion: I choose to see at least one good quality within my family background and be thankful for that. I am not a prisoner to the dysfunction of my family. I have been given the gift to choose my values.

  6. My flaws/weakness

Empowering Belief Suggestion: I am thankful for my gifts, strengths, and personality. I am whole and complete. God celebrates my existence, so I will too!

  7. God

Empowering Belief Suggestion: I am so thankful that God is for me, and not against me. He is my protector. He watches over me carefully with pleasure in His eyes. Everything I need is already in His hands. He supplies my needs. The Lord establishes the details of my defense.

We want you to feel energized and alive in your relationships - especially your relationship with God! When it comes to core beliefs, we have found that it’s extremely useful to notice our words, our thoughts, the fruit of what’s happening, and the patterns that repeat themselves.
